Am back riding as of yesterday, but have to build very slowly at first, and then am busy on 6th Nov unless it's an early ride finishing before 9:30 AM (and might not yet be back to proper length rides by then anyway - don't know yet). In the meantime though, let me know if any of you want to do a lap of Kew Boulevard any time, because already I'd be fine with doing part of the course (can just turn back early and meet up with you at the start/finish point, wherever that might be), and hopefully won't take too long before I'm ready to do whole course.
Will have to see closer to the time whether I'm ready to do the Eastlink ride on 13th November. By then it will 10.5 weeks after breaking my arm, but who knows, the 75 km course is a long time to be on a bike, even on a smooth road. (Unless anyone wanted to do the 35 km option with me
- having never done it before, have no idea how crowded or otherwise the shorter course is, i.e. whether a decent speed is possible.... likely there'd be fewer people doing it this year at least, now that they've added the 75 km recreational ride option!)
