Be careful with lips, they scar tissue can give 'fat lips' which can become very annoying, better to have the wound cleaned out and sutured with disposable sutures. The lip is not that painful to anaesthetise.
Amazing how much pain you can endure when it's cycling related, but how much a wuss you can be in other situations.
nah, he's basing the pain thing on past experience. He had his lip sutured under local two years ago and he's haunted by the memory.

I offered to do it without the local ('cause I reckon that's the most ouchy bit) but, funny, he rejected that idea too.
