Hi to all BV Citizens and cycling Brothers and Sisters,
I am organising a very cool mountain bike expedition to Nepal around Annapurna Circuit to Lake Tilicho in October departing Kathmandu on October 2nd for 19-23 days.
Please check my Facebook for the idea and virtual tour I have created with Google Earth. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Snowy-Horizon-Adventure/163745630364892?sk=app_198198273572267

I hope you like it. Believe or not it is hard to put together a cool adventure and I sweated over it for some time. Please give me a feedback and e-mail me if you wish to know more…About the Adventure
Maximum daily distance is less than 50km but it doesn’t mean one shouldn’t be fit to do that. We will reach 4100m at Tilicho Lake
and we will cross 4800m Thorung La pass on the mountain bike. It is quiet high and this is one reason for daily distances 17-50km. The other reason is the riding path. Some sections are on paved roads but most of it is unpaved and village tracks, in some places you will have to take the bike up few steps. Once we cross the Thorung La, it will all be downhill through spectacular Tibetan style villages and through the deepest valley in the world, Kali Gandaki, dividing two of 14 highest peaks in the world Annapurna (8091m) to the left and Dhalaugiri (8167m) to the right only 40km apart and shooting up 7000m above the floor of the valley, truly awesome experience. We will hire porters to carry our gear, except bikes and we will stay and dine in local lodges.

I will be leading this expedition and I have extensive climbing and high altitude biking experience in Alpine, Andean and Himalayan areas. I have qualification in Exercise Physiology and mountaineering experience in North America AL, WA (USA), BC (Canada), Mexico, South America (Argentina, Chile, Ecuador) and Nepal and Tibet. Yes I am extremely fit, I love climbing both on foot and on the bike and I will be there to share my experience with you, show you the area I love cycling and trekking and have understanding of it; with the Nepalese crew we will help you to survive the epic and enjoy the experience.About you
You got to be fit and prepared for rewarding discomfort of riding mountain country trails. It is essential that you enjoy riding hills or at lease cope with it well. If you can do the MAD ride in Melbourne, cross border ranges from QLD to NSW, ride comfortably Mt Cootha in Brisbane or ride up to Thredbo from Cooma you are qualified to do this adventure. If you have never been to this altitude we will help you to get there providing you come up with the fitness.About the company
I have started working in Nepal in 2009 helping Nepalese Trekking Company Snowy Horizon Treks and Expedition with marketing trekking and mountaineering expeditions. The director of the company Rishi Bhandari is my long-term friend and climbing buddy, who helped me on expeditions to Chu Oyu (8200m) in Tibet and Lhotse (8500m) in Nepal. We decided to open an office in Brisbane, where I live and help our Australian customers to experience Nepal in commercial but not commercialised way, with no gimmicks, but with as much authenticity and comfort as possible. We also offer very generous discounts to groups of minimum 6 and even better discounts if you can gather 10 of your friends and very flexible departure. We also deal directly with our customers and provive our own logiscs and do not deal through reselling agents.Best time to do it
Annapurna Circuit can be done all year round but to avoid uncomfortable conditions the best time to do it is from 1 March till 30 May and from 1 September until 30 November. Contact:
