So perhaps it wouldn't have helped me if I'd gone closer to the front then! Or was that just for the sprints?CICLI Pina wrote:It was just like an MRR (TFC ride) this morning. Hounds out the front busting a hole in the headwind, rabbits sucking wheels just trying to hang on and mice enjoying the social side. To finish it off it just wouldn't have been a TFC ride without Outlook starting early and being the first back for coffee (wherever he ended up ).
Thanks for a great ride. I don't usually enjoy Beach Rd but with this bunch it doesn't matter where we ride.
commi wrote:Well I wasn't part of the TFC ride but I did ride to Mordi and back (from Windsor). My first 50km ride in months and I chose the wrong bike for it. I was on my superheavy SS bike. I was out wearing my BV Forum Riders kit.
I saw the TFC crew (and Viddy) scream past down the straight just before Mordi. Said hi to Marti. Trip back was horrible! Single speed plus I'd just changed from a 48x18 to 48x16 setup. In the headwind, plus I think my front fendor was acting as some sort of air break. All = mashed legs. I saw a stray TFC rider on the way back on a MTB(?) and backpack. Was that you Squeazasis?
1 First "big" ride in months
2 Saw David McKenzie
3 Seeing the TFC kit with optional Playboy Bunny extras. I nearly fell off my bike.

(I hope you all noticed that my ears matched!!)
There was one obvious exception, but I just made a big effort never to get that wheel .

Sprint point at Mordi was great fun! I wasn't sure what was happening but thought I'd give it a squirt anyway.
