The Woodend trip sounds like a serious training ride - over 100Kms and two climbs up Mt Macedon. The Pt Nepean trip would be more social. Basically flat terrain, nice scenery, a cool breeze and coffee shops every 300 metres
For the Pt Nepean trip my first suggestion would be to start from Flinders Drive in Mornington at 10:00AM.
If you're thinking you might like to join this ride, please let me know if you prefer 29th or 31st and/or if you prefer a different starting time/place.

Lots of trails lead to and from - can take turns riding off with kids, or if hot weather, the kid's garden has sprinklers to get wet and play. Possibly an opportunity for some partners who rarely get to ride to do so. Not to mention that you're surrounded by a huge garden...
and the partners can hire blue bikes for the day
For the day!? Wow... that's some serious money!
Yes, so when partners hear how much it'll cost, they'll insist on N+1

The forecast for Friday 31st has now been upgraded to 38C so the Pt Nepean ride is definitely OFF.
If anyone would like to join UJ1 & me on the Warburton trail on Thursday 30th please send me a PM with your mobile so we can fix details.
Gyoza, you should be OK on the Warburton trail on a road bike - providing you don't mind getting a little bit of fine dust on your sparkling clean chain - AND - providing you can ride slow enough for me to keep up on a mountain bike
