On Sunday 2nd January, 2011, join the Amy Gillett Foundation in a fantastic recreational ride commencing in Geelong’s Eastern Gardens and taking in the picturesque Bellarine Peninsula. With distances to suit beginners through to accomplished riders this will be a great day out for all participants and you will also support the bicycling safety initiatives of the Amy Gillett Foundation including the development of our 2011 safety campaign.
Rider numbers will be allocated on the basis of their nominated ride distance and order of entry. Pelotons of 100 riders will depart the start at two minute intervals. Each peloton will be led by some of Australia’s best professional riders, who are participating with their team-mates to support the Foundation and as part of their warm up for the Jayco Bay Cycling Classic commencing in the afternoon. The professional riders will be allocated as each peloton fills in order of their UCI World ranking. Who you get to ride with will be determined by how soon you enter!
I got greedy, and sign up this ride too (after signing up for 2xu otway).
