Because mrs mjs was feeling a bit under the weather and we live so close to the westgate she decided to pootle off home rather than finish, she was a bit unsteady on the bike so we both thought it best. I continued on and clocked 51.5 kph on the eastern decent of the bridge, and got to bay street from Stephen street yarraville in about 7 minutes. Really put as much as I could into it, from Bay street though it was a total crawl back to the gardens.
I like the 50k ride it's not hard to do and is a lot of fun.
I got dressed in the dark for the first Degani Kinglake ride and did not realise I had put my knicks on inside-out. I did the entire ride without noticing, and no-one bothered to tell me. It was only on the way home that I looked down and noticed the brilliant blue chamois. Must have been pretty amusing for people behind me on the climb when I got out of the saddle.
