I wouldn't book any accommodation at this stage as you may not find yourself in Sale at the end
Probably worth a new thread as this year's ride is rumoured to be different.
Keep an eye on the website.
Interesting. I wonder what the surprise may be. Have they organised for an even stronger head wind for this year?
Niggle, tell us what you know. We are all friends here and how will anyone find out that you told us anything
What do I know - not a lot - I'll start a 2010 thread when I've got more info.
The problem of the Slog has always been one of logistics - what to do with all the people now you've got them in Sale.
There's a possibilty of the route changing - perhaps a loop.
That's all the info I've got at this stage.
I may see some of the organisers tonight - stay tuned.
As noted there's a bit of info on the Slog website
"The Slog to Sale is on once again, and in 2010, we are back - bigger and better than ever with some very suprising changes!
We will be updating you very shortly on these changes and outlining how and what we are planning for this year's ride.
Prepare for something new and big for the ride on the 2nd of October 2010.
There are 2 BIG news things you will be interested in. Not just one... "
A bit of inside info just for the BV folks.
How about 2 circuit routes, Beginner at 70km and a 150km advanced route.
I'll let you speculate on the route, the only clue I can give at present is South from Pakeham with some Hills.
All subject to getting permits - website will have more news once they have that confirmed.
