This is a great idea!

Hopefully it will attract a goodly number of starters. I'm certainly interested. I guess I ride this trail more frequently than any other. I'll be on parts of it again on Wednesday.
A few points of clarification. The actual distance from Lilydale Lake to Warburton shopping center is 38Kms. If you go from Lilydale Railway station it would be approx 40 Kms. If you do the extra loop around the camping ground & Riverside Drive that's another 11 Kms. So, 76-80 Kms for the standard return journey and 90 Kms for the extended version.
There is a bit of climbing. The height at the start in Lilydale is about 80-100M (depending on where you start) and the crest at Mt Evelyn is at 228M. The climb is about 4.5Kms. The low point mid-trail is the bridge over the river at Worri Yallock at about 126M. You then climb to Warburton at 167M. The return journey is more difficult in that it's a steady climb from Woori Yallock to Wandin and then a sharper climb of 3 kms from Wandin back to the top of Mt Evelyn. The equinox is March
21st. On Sunday 11th April sunrise is 6:43am and sunset is 18:00 for a total of 11:18 daylight.

I'm not free this coming Sunday (21/30). On the 28th i was hoping to do the Jells Park for Breakfast run. Sunday 4/4 is Easter Sunday and the next regular Sunday is 11/4. Providing everyone is not away, the Easter Sunday
sounds like a good idea as it gives families the Monday at home to recover.
