ATTA - Australian Time Trial Association. About half of the Victorian branch is made up of forumers
BAD - Ballarat Autumn Daytour - sort of like the MAD, but further West.
Bad air - Cyclist generated methane, deadly in a pack depending on wind direction and incline at the time of the offence. Depending on the lycra - can also be known as an "air-biscuit".
BBC - Belgian Beer Cafe. Commonly used to convey a pre-breakfast ride held on the last Saturday morning of each month
Beach Rd - A well used/abused road that is ridden every weekend.
'Bent - Recumbent bicycle or trike, has other meanings for the non-cycling context.
Bike porn - online bike catalog filled with bling you didn't need until now, see also bling and N+1.
Bling - Very expensive gear often bought by the wealthy or wannabees.
BV - Bicycle Victoria
Cage - A car
Cager - Someone who drives a "cage"
Carbon Envy - something you get riding an alloy frame bike
Crash to earth - see Off
DF or Diamond Frame - 'Bent rider's reference to the traditional upright bicycle they left behind to ride their 'bent.
Dirt bagger- a rider who skimps on their equipment but could buy you and me or asks for a BV discount on something priced very low
Endo - Dismount forward over the handlebars. Usually head first.
Fixie - Bike with single gear, very retro.
FlexorCranks - sponsor of hypothetical suburban hack cylcling team - now with 10% more flex in your cranks. (See Sven Bowersen) Embodying the spirit of riders having a crack, enjoying a laugh over coffee, and putting on the occassional squirt of speed to win sprint points, sometimes.
Fred - (1) A roadie that has archaic equipment (ie downtube shifters and toe clips)
(2) A cyclist with mis-matching gear (ie CSC jersey with Assos Knicks)
(3) or a cyclist in a bunch that sticks out like the proverbial - the odd one out
GTBR - Great Tasmanian Bike Ride
GVBR - Great Victorian Bike Ride
Grim Reaper - A character who stands at the top of col du Westfield on the MRR - avoid eye contact with him if you want to live.
HAF - Hard As F@#$. Generally references three/four forumites who braved the BBC one horrible, cold & wet winter's day.
Having a crack - 1) going for it 2) time for N+1
HHCCC - Holden High Country Cycling Classic
HTFU - Harden The F$#@ Up. Family friendly version is: 'Honey, Thanks For Understanding why I go out riding for hours and hours... '
Huffy - Cheap bike ridden by those with suicidal tendencies. Also a female trait when they don't get their way!
Hybrid - A bike that is unsure of its identity, often used by bike riders briefly before succumbing to N+1
Kenny -To adjust your seat 7 times in one ride and wish you had a spirit level is to 'Kenny' the seat.
Klingon - A freeloading rider you don't know who sneaks onto the back of your peloton
Leffe - (1) Beer available at the BBC (2) A bad-air response to definition (1)
MAD - Melbourne Autumn Daytour - a ride held around Woodend.
MRR - Maling Room Ride - linky
MTB - Mountain Bike - a device that passes 'bents occasionally, except on (sealed road) downhills.
N=N+1 - No. of bikes you need, which is always one more than you have.
NRR - North Rd Ride - linky
Off - ie a stack. coming off. with potential consequences of thighs and or elbows resembling a meat lovers pizza.
OTB Over the Bars. A much more interesting way to have an 'off'. Something mountain bikers do for kicks.
PITA - Pains In The Ar5e. Those who come to the forum just to annoy others & stir trouble.

Popcorner (Noun) - person who indulges in popcorning.
Popcorning ( Verb) - the art of dragging out the virtual beanbag and virtual popcorn to sit on the sidelines whilst watching a debate take place.

RLJ - Red Light Jumper. Such behaviour gives ammunition to bike-hating media hacks, so is severely frowned upon.
Roadie - Road bike
(1) a device that passes 'bents except on downhills, term also refers to the rider of the device

SIUP - Suck it up, princess. Advice to anyone who uses any excuse for being at the back or dropping off the back of the pack.
S.L.U.T - Sustainable, Lowcost, Urban, Transport
Sluttin' around - to use the SLUT bike for casual commuting/getting aroud from point A to point B
Smashfest - riding at your limit for most of the ride.

Sven Bowersen - legendary Danish Alps champion, now Director Sportif of FlexorCranks, a hypothetical hack suburban cylcling squad in Melbournes east, longing for glory just one more time.
Team Idiot - A trio of forumites who participated in the HHCCC one year only to have one of the say "Which Idiot suggested this!"
TdF - Tour de France. The cause of many sleepless nights in Australia.
