We set out at 8am from Wellington rd, and by 10:30 I'd had enough. I have some great 'on' days and other days like today when I'm not seeing things quickly enough or reacting. I start making ugly mistakes, hitting logs late and the like and end up getting cross with myself and more timid.
So I left Mr Budini to do a second 'hot lap' without me and I read the paper in the car (lovely).
Bodie, where we left you we dropped own into Churchill (used to be able to take a great single track descent but now sadly closed) and then came back up via a vicious single track climb. It's a good way to add another half hour or so and a chance to refill the water bottles at Churchill.
I'd have to ride lysterfield a lot more to get bored with it. There's literally miles of tracks. If you can't ride for 2 hours without repeating the trails then you haven't nearly found all the trails. And there's always the challenges of the bits that you might not feel great about riding...
