Had a most enjoyable ride from my place at 300m above sea level, through Sawyers Valley, Mundaring, Glen Forest, Darlington and down into the flatlands through Helena Valley to the international airport before coming back up the hill.
Has anybody had a look at the route profiles on the website. Day three is a cracker with 600m+ of climbing into Bridgetown.
The first forty km looks about comparable to what I did this morning, with probably a bit of it at the eighteen km mark, as steep as Greenmount.
Perhaps some balance to the training should include pushing the bike up a hill.
