Was a great ride- very enjoyable and a big thanks to all that made it happen. However it was amazing to see the amount of people who just have NFI about gearing and road sense.
At least they were out doing it which is great. Bikes ranged from some that had to have been dusted off from the back of the shed to some that were obviously on their first ride out of the shop. ("I'd take that price tag off if I were you
Very nice amble but a few Tour de France wannabe's going possibly a tad to fast close to the amblers (imho).
Some thought it was "we take over the roads day" which was disappointing - some clowns riding 4 and 5 abreast and holding up cars around near Willimastown did nothing to promote cycling to half a dozen drivers and one Shell Tanker, but he was an idiot and made no allowance what-so-ever for the fact that once a year there were thousands of cyclist sharing the road. Too much for his tiny brain I suspect, but once it got going and people strung out it was better for other users.
Daughter loved it - so did the dad!
