However it is a little odd that Andrew Budge (the presenter at the preparation workshop) favoured long sleved jerseys for protection from the sun, and this has short sleves. Could it be that Victorians don't have long summers?

What do I mean, well conditions when cycling change, and if it is sweltering hot, yes a long sleeve will prevent you getting sun burnt, but you'll cook, better to apply suncreen, and if you wish to cover your arms, buy arm warmers, they make them in light cotton!!!
