Michelle and I have just returned from driving from Albany to Perth along what we anticipate is the route the GWABR will take. It was satisfying from the perspective that we now feel confident there is no day that we can't complete.
The challenge will be to put all those days together.
Along the way we took GPS readings every 5km and although not producing a topographical map we have tabled every 5km each day with a height reading and some route observations.
We have also done some general notes on each day of the ride and have provided some links to sites to give information about flora, fauna, history and other information of general interest.
We may not have been 100% accurate as to the exact route to be taken but in many cases there was only one option and in others the alternatives were all through similar terrain so the track notes should still be pretty relevant. The height readings of course may vary.
Anyone who wants a copy of the track notes can email us at the address in our profile and we will email you back with the atttachment.
The countryside was beautiful and we eagerly anticipate the trip. Off for another couple of circuits of Kings park. Got to sustain that hill climbing ability.
