I put some of this info in another thread that Sarmy started, but I'll repeat it here anyways!
I am a 32 y.o. guy, living in Heathridge, and I have been cycling to Perth and back (60kms) 3 times a week on an MTB. I am gradually increasing my weekly distance. I often ride a loop to Heathridge-Hillarys-HR (18kms), HR-Butler-Burns Beach-HR (35kms), HR-Trigg-HR. I have also tried a few longer rides: HR-Swanbourne-Perth-HR (75kms), HR-Perth-Manning-Fremantle-HR (90-100kms).
I am doing Week 1 of the ride which is 530kms. My goal is to be riding nearly that distance in a 7 day period, so I still need to do loads more training! I am interested in doing some hill training...
My current speed is 20 (no wind) to 24 (tail wind) on an MTB. I am hoping to get a Giant CRX1 2006 tomorrow, so I hope that will help me go farther, faster, with less pain!
