This is the first time I have undertaken any kind of ride like this, so I was wondering if there has been the facility on past rides to recharge phone batteries when in camp. Alternatively does anyone know of a good way to recharge phone batteries while cycling? I did a quick search on-line and found a few "build your own recharger with a dynamo" entries, but these look a bit cumbersome and complicated. Has anyone seen anything like this in the shops - apart from the variety I have to sit and wind by hand

I've got a battery back pack made for the Ipod. It takes 4 AA batteries, and they last about 10 hours. Usually available at all good Ipod stores. I got mine at Myer.
