That is interesting... practicing group riding.
I thought the #1 thing to worry about when riding from Albany to Denmark would be the cars and trucks.
But am I wrong here and do we cyclists have to fear/expect more hassles from each other
I am interested in people who have experience with this, e.g. on the Vic rides.
My experience with groups is a bit more than 2, up to about 10. Usually these groups include children. (Fortunately they are growing up and steering straighter)
The other thing I would be interested in - does the handbook have that ? - is a description of riding 'etiquette'.
Are there written 'rules' of riding in larger groups..?
And the forum can comment on the unwritten rules..?
I remember at the freewaybikehike last year noticing some extremely irritated lycra-boys, they did shout "on ya left" or something equally mysterious to me,
but the tired 8 yr old just out of training wheels obviously didn't realise that he shouldn't place his bike perpendicular on the road halfway up the hill at the Joondalup freeway exit.
(I should add this kid wasn't under my supervision, I did that ride on my own)
OK must go
