This hill does when carrying 4 panniers, 10 litres of water and a trailer. The main Albany Hwy route has stops for food, the longest stop without anything is around 100 kms.
There is another route from Perth, by going down the Freeway bike path 50 kms, then along a reasonable road to the Sth West Hwy and then cutting up the escarpment and along some parallel roads to the Albany Hwy.
I'd have to pull out my huge map book a bit closer to the time, as it gives all sort of back tracks. I am hoping to go on the ride, but won't know until closer to the end of January.
If I do, I will be riding down to Albany as I have a sister who lives in Albany, and I used to live near it in Denmark, so I know the area quite well. There are some good parellel roads, that are quiet.
