Ok reasons for booties
3) Wank value.
Got to add:
4) Dry feet
If you get the right booties it is possible to ride with dry (or drier) feet. When I came back to commuting last October I chose to ride on one hell of a wet day. So I dragged out all my wet gear, including my new BBB Waterflex booties. 11km later I got off the bike with substantially dry shoes.
In winter our touring club continues to run rides, and on rainy days, when you are out for several hours
, those booties are great.
