Have you sold a few Tim? They are a fantastic looking utility cycle.
+1! My compliments Tim. Looks like fantastic value for money. It has absolutely everything already installed. I'll have to pursuade SWMBO that we need one.
$700 for 8 spd Sturmey-Archer gears, dynamo light etc is a great price.
Can it fit on a train, though?
Just quietly, it will have to sell for a bit more than the starting bid to convince me that it's a viable business. I'm a bit nervous about the prospect of having a shed full of cargo bikes with no market, and a five-figure hole in my mortgage.
It's a brilliant bit of gear for the price I'm hoping to sell them for though... even if I do say so myself.
As for fitting on a train ...
... I've taken a loaded tandem on V-line trains before (off peak, please don't shoot me Mr Conductor!). I haven't parked them beside each other to check, but I reckon the cargo bike would be similar in length to the tandem, and probably no wider than a set of full panniers on a rack.
That said, I reckon I'd be annoyed if I was sardined into a peak-hour Connex train and somebody tried to get on with a cargo bike
