currently I am at 100km per week but increasing gradually and aiming for double that distance. We will be doing the GVBR this year.
As far as gears go, I have 11-30T at the back and changed to 22-32-42 at the front when I put on the Truvativ crank. I did that to lower the overall gearing - it was originally 25-118 gear inches but now I'm down to 20-103 which is better suited to a 47 year old woman of dubious fitness. The Truvativ crank is a much nicer unit than the one that comes on the Sport and has individually replaceable chainrings. One reason I went with the Sport over the Elite, was that the Sport has a wider range rear derailleur which means it can take cassettes up to 34T whereas the Elite only goes to 27T.
As with any new bike, I have had a few cable stretch issues - it needs adjusting again but when it is adjusted the gear changes are pretty smooth. Hopefully, the cable will stop stretching soon.
I put a Selle Italia Lady Gel Flow on mine and find that really comfortable.
I am thinking of putting those funny trekking bars on mine coz I find the flat bars don't allow anything in the way of position changes.
The other nice thing about this bike is that it isn't particularly twitchy so you don't get too many hair-raising moments out on the road.
