Many years ago, I used to work doing bicycle servicing during high school at a local bike shop. I was able to turn my then $300 MTB into a smooth piece of machinary by maintaining it regularly and learning things about how it all works.
Then I got a car licence.
Now I don't own a car, and i'm back on a new lovely bike
however the front bearings/cones are annoying me. Rather than subjecting the bike to an extended stay at the shop, I may as well buy myself a set of tools and grease and do it myself.
Now, what brand grease is good these days and where do you buy it from? A lot of a brands have changed since those days at the bike shop and i'm just not 100% about it all. The tools to get seem to be "Park" brand. But i'm just not sure about he lubricants. For the record I used to use a motorcraft premium car grade bearing grease on my bike and it was great.
What do you do if you do this work yourself?
