the original idea of this message was only to let people know what was said in the paper and let them be aware of any hostilities. it is good that it has raised some debates. i am a driver and a cyclist, i think both can co-enside with each other, pubilc transport is also great, but the majority of public transport runs towards the CBD, not everyone in victoria works in the CBD and niether do they work banking hours (no Offence), it takes me around 15 minutes to drive to work, if i dont ride i car share, takes me around 25 minutes to ride, to use public transport, must get to the station, too early for a bus. A 25 minute walk, catch a train from broadmeadows to north melbourne then catch a train out from north melbourne to gowie station, but it still leaves me about a 3 - 4 km walk, not bad seen as i start 6.00am, so for me to catch public transport if its on time, is about 1.5 to 2 hours of traveling.
to me it doesnt matter how people get to where they want to go, ride, drive or use public transport, what matters is getting there safely
