Like a great big blood orange on the horizon. Gotta love pollution when it results in a sunrise like that!
Was that you parawolf at the start? Didn't quite get to say hello before we took off (early!?) Didn't see you at the end. How'd you fare?
Yeah that was me at the start, bodie tends to hog the conversation
I didn't do too badly considering i'm still shaking this last part of the flu/sinus infection I had last week. This mornings pace was quick on the way back. I was a little frustrated by how unsettled the group was (you probably saw that too Sette? I know bodie mentioned it to me post ride).
Lots of people not wanting to maintain their position in the pack, pushing themselves forward, people riding 5 wide. But once we got through Mentone on the way down it settled nicely.
I dropped myself off at Black Rock as I was a touch past my zone at the moment, and didn't want to aggrevate the illness by rolling through hard. I got caught by another bunch of people that were dropped earlier than me, and we powered it on the rest of the way at about 36-38km/h.
Picked up bodie on the way through St Kilda just past Luna Park, and saw you and Mr Budini (you were having a toilet stop just before Kerferd Road?)
Beautiful morning today, I just wish my health was better.
Buy a bike, park the car, ride your ass off...
