It occurs to me, however, that people won't chill out and be nice when others persist in what they perceive as obnoxious behaviour. So a bit of a myth-buster article would seem to be in order along the lines of, "When motorists criticise cyclists for xxxxx behaviour, the cyclist is probably behaving that way because it's safer/legal/more efficient."
So I need a list of what behaviour/perception about cyclists annoys the rest of the community. Obviously no chance of covering everything but a top ten peeves to "bust" would be a good start ("busting" explanation thoughts wouldn't hurt too).
- running red lights
- filtering to the front
- riding two abreast
- riding on the road when "there's a perfectly good bike path right alongside the road"
- freeloading by not paying rego
- holding up traffic
- not using a bike lane
