I've read a few times that that's the most dangerous light to drive / ride in. No authorative source. Better to turn your lights on early IMO, not that I'm advocating running lights 24/7. I did run them today as the light was close to that kind of "weird light."
Not disagreeing with you. I've said earlier that I run lights at all times myself.
I was more commenting on the attitude expressed in the comment I quoted:
"OMG, I almost hit someone. Let's make a new law that cyclists must have functioning lights etc etc"......
As was expressed earlier in this same thread - it's probably not that far away that governments will introduce just such a law. Never say never etc.
