Meh, that's about par-for-the-course for rec cycling isn't it?

Started at Rowville and rode to Jells then off to Knox SC(To post Dad's Fathers day gift) then continued on to Heathmont on the trail. From there I rode the trail towards The Basin and then started the road ride up the 1in20(29min and 32sec) then of to Olinda then Monbulk and to Mt Evelyn. Looped around to Swansea Rd/Canterbury Rd and back to the trail and back home via Jells again. All up 92 klm, head wind most of the way from Home to the Basin, I think I might have had a tail/cross wind up to Sassafras and head wind to Mt Evelyn but once I looped around to come home it wasn't so bad, mostly tail wind All up a good ride.
A few too many variables there, ken. What was your average speed for the 28.4km trip? What's your typical walking speed? How long does it take to walk across the intersection? If you know those, you can probably estimate how long (and fast) you need to ride to bring the average up again.kens wrote:Discoverd one thing that prompts the question: How come I lose 0.1 km/h average just walking across at lights (e.g. Banksia St) but it takes a km or two of hard yakka to get it back again??
