Went down Darebin Creek then through to Fairfield and Yarra Bend Rd and Westgarth St to the Capital City trail which I followed as far as Nicholson St. I had to turn back at that point as I needed to be back home and just retraced he same path back. Not very exciting but I'd like to circumnavgate the city following the old inner/outercircle rail line some day so needed to work out the route. As it was I made some wrong turns and had to consult the map pretty frequently.
You're not alone! One of the things I noticed about the Capital City Trail early this year is that it has intersections where the main trail looks more like a side-path to some other trail, so it actually took me 4 tries before I rode the complete Capital City Trail
. Also, according to BV's website, some of the Capital City Trail signposts were "souvenired". I don't know if any of your wrong turns were on the Capital City Trail, but if so, it's understandable.
