Went camping over the long weekend in Toora (Fri-Tues) and took the bike with me. Forgot two important items when packing, my helmet,
and a tarp to cover the bike when not in use. It spent 5 days sitting under a tree in almost constant rain. ( I went for a few short rides but not what I planned).
Anyway, have come home and rust has really kicked in. It's an aluminium frame so that's fine. I'll pull apart the drive train this weekend and give it a good clean.
My SPD pedals are bleeding rust as well, might have a go at pulling them apart (if I can get them off the cranks) . I found a fairly straight forward looking guide: http://www.aushiker.com/2009/12/how-to-service-shimano-spd-clipless-pedals/
I'll also see if I can replace the various bolts which are looking tarnished, more for cosmetic reasons.
Is there anything else I should
do such as the hubs (they have rubber boots or seals covering the bearings and have recently been serviced), headset and bottom bracket?
