Sorry to hear about your foot! I would not recommend trying to ride with a moon boot on! Let it heal properly. I'd also recommend looking into a pair of MTB shoes perhaps...I like the Shimano MT42 shoes as they are quite good for cycling, good for walking, but also - for your situation - reasonably rigid to provide good support for a weakened foot, also provides good protection for your feet.
