Thanks for the reminder Ross. I was just thinking I must post on my way in this morning.
I dropped the bike in a couple of Saturdays ago at ********* Cycles in ***nswick. Spoke to the spotty kid about the squeaking noise and he assured me it was just "adjustment". I don't think so said I, how do you explain the fact it goes away in 5th and above.
"They'll give it (voice breaks) a tune, it'll be right"
Anyway, left it with them for a week cause it was too hard to get back in there mid week. Picked it up (yeah mate it'll all be fine now
) and have been riding this week.
2nd day after getting it back - squeak squeak squeak. 1st through to 4th. Under light load only. Goes away the instant you change into 5th.
Hmmmm.... where to from here? Waiting on shipment at work of special lightweight grease for brushcutter gearheads. High Temp, lithium based stuff.
Well a tube of this is going in to the cartridge of the hub
We'll see how the squeak likes that! Although I do believe that, during the many hours of my commuting, the squeaks are trying to say something to me
Little voices. From my hub. Maniacal laugh........
