Have to do a qualifying HIM race for an IM, so that will be Gold Coast. And will use Geelong to practice my nutrition and to get used to racing over a longer distance.
Am not aiming to do any of them in a certain time, just to finish as I have never raced over that distance before, so will see how I go and next IM I do I might be able to have a time in mind.

I've spent a fair bit of time as training buddy with IMers ... in the build phase of training, 8 weeks out from an IM, the plan would have the equivalent of doing more than a HIM every weekend, obviously not in intensity, but certainly in volume. You get your nutrition sorted out then for sure... it's then when you have to stay mentally strong...
