Forecast for Tuesday
A shower or two and the chance of a thunderstorm. Fresh to strong northerly wind
ahead of a cooler south to southwesterly change during the afternoon. Showers to
increase following the change, tending to rain overnight.
I think I'll play "wait and see" what's happening with the weather before I decide whether to race at Sandown tomorrow night or not ... as I'm keen to have a roll around in D grade to see what the circuit is like.
Your quoted forecast failed to mention the forecast 36C before an afternoon change. I'm not too keen on racing in extremely hot weather ... and I'm not too keen on racing in windy/rainy conditions either - esp in a crit.
Mal mentioned tonight (at CCCC AGM) that there have been more washouts ALREADY this season than for the last couple of years! Yeah we need the rain ... but there are plenty of non-crit hours in the week.
Hopefully the weather Gods will hear our wish to crit ... and the cool change will come before racing, but not too windy or wet. Or is that just very wishful thinking?
