Looking forward to the results posting - my 55 mins something for the 30kms was good for me. Went out quite hard - couldn't believe that Dave was able to talk when I passed him, 'twas at that point that I realised I was pushing a little hard. It came back to bite me when I flagged a bit on the little climb to Rochford. Was able to rally though with a bit of tail wind to the finish and finished pretty strongly, which I was happy with. No cramps, either..yippee!!
I might be in the market for new HRM/computer if batteries don't fix mine though - nearly didn't make the start after trying to get the computer going, then the blasted thing just decided it wanted to work again for no apparent reason
And for those following the thread earlier, 53-11 DID go and take his bike, but didn't ride the TT - smartest bloke there
I have a feeling thought that the fastest time recorded on the 30 kms today may have been a record or close to it. I'll look forward to checking the results on the ATTA site.
The record is currently at 49.05, according to the website.
The conditions were pretty good - clear skies, not too hot, light winds - so that would have been a big help.
