In a word 'Windy'.
I think that riders were shaken from the tails of all the grades today.
It was probably a still day by Sandown standards, but testing for those of us who can't get to Sandown often.
Despite the wind, there were no incidents that I'm aware of, so that was a plus.
Naturally all the grades were well supported.
C grade had a few brave souls who attempted breakways, and today was a perfect day to try and get away, but in the end it came down to the usual big bunch sprint.
I'd love to tell you what actually happened at the finish line, but I was back in about 10th(could even be a couple more places slower) so you'll have to read the official CCCC report for those details.
Some of the girls from the Malaysian training squad were in the bunch and didn't seem to have any trouble holding their spots.
As always a fun day's racing.
Agree with the above report, was happy with the pace and happy to sit and hide from the wind on my first C grade race.
I think i finished somewhere just behind you TOAFG, assuming you were wearing the Active Feet kit...
Average on the polar was 38.8km/hr, max in the sprint 56.4km/hr.
A good day for racing once the sun came out... hope you all went well.
