lol listening to the lead out music the the Vuelta highlights and it was like listening to the music of a late 80's early 90's space shootemup video game I was just waiting for the galaga space ships to go cruising across the screen
I gotta say, after he crashed at the Tour all the Wiggns fans were on that "he was in the form of his life" tip and I thought don't do it to yourself, Michael Rogers fans have been torturing themselves with "he was three minutes in front on the road!" since 2007 - but after last night's performance, perhaps there's something in it.
Dozed off many times but woke for the crucial last part of the stage. Cobo's cadence was amazing the whole way up and I sleepily recall Keenan saying he weighs 56kgs. The guy's either found incredible form at the right moment or ..... Wasn't surprised when they reached the steepest pinches that the great white hope cracked. Froome rode very well though.
Stayed up last night, no sleepiness but I was soon bored. The coverage only came in at the 59kms to go mark and apart from Barredo going off the front on the last climb it was going to be a sprinter's procession with a flat run in. Turned it off with 33 to go.
