It was all rideable on the first lap (in fatbastard CXer class). I only had to get off and push after losing my momentum due to traffic.
By the end of the race, the entire infield was a linear swamp between the ribbons, and it was torturous to even push a bike through, let alone try and ride it
The A-graders did it tough from the beginning.
I was expecting the hills to be my Achilles heel on the singlespeed. Not so - they were a breeze, compared to the grassmud inside the velodrome.

And yeah, that vid of a lap and a bit on the dirtydeeds site really shows just how slow those bogs were... coming off the velo and into the first one you almost stop dead. Then, the big one after the turn straight after that was a REAL struggle.
