1. Hi dfvanden,
I recommend you find two or three stockists (shops) call them and confirm what sizes they have, if one has a large and another an extra large note comaparisons if you can ride both. Not ideal if you have to decide b/w two sizes and they are at different shops but it may be your only option. The larger shops will tend to carry several sizes and if you plan they may be able to build one up for you to try if you give them notice. Shogun is brought in but BikeCorp you can get them on 03 9558 5449 they should be able to help you with a dealer list. I will assume you have the Scott shops covered.
2. Hi roshea,
Gotta say nice bike the SL, but perhaps I am biased. Yeah that is what I was told by the boys at Scott (Netti Australia) early last year, but being the gear freak I am I must now confirm definitively.
I hope to update you on this in the next few days. If I can't, well your frame can be Swiss. That said Taiwan is a leader in frame manufacturer, as even high end boutique hand made frames from the USA can incur faults in manufacture as I learnt first hand with one specific frame purchase, but that's another story.
In the interim I can photoshop a made in Switzerland sticker with a smiling Thomas Frischknecht in the foreground if you require.
Ride safe folks.
