It's Velocity VXC disc rims and 28mm Marathon Plus, converted with a 20" tube and Stans goop. It hasn't changed my world in terms of ride comfort or speed (as evidenced by my MRR performances) since both bike and tyre are so heavy already. However, I must say that I was rather pleased to watch the Stans plug a hole caused by a rather large nail. All I needed to do was pump a bit more air in and away I went.
In terms of reliability it's a big win for me and no where near as much hassle as people make it out to be.
Except goop doesn't work so well at the higher pressures associated with a 23mm tyre. I tried using some stans in my tubs for preventitive reasons and nope couldn't seal a small hole... Or when it did it couldn't keep it sealed for more than a few km's. Glad I did a test ride before that Mt. Hotham attempt
My commuter wheels are VXC's too, but the 700C version.
