What is it with whippets and doonas? Ours head straight towards the bed in the morning and burrow until they are well under. Then comes the process of stretching the legs so as to gradually evict us from the bed.
We got them from a breeder up in Heathcote. Because we both work we decided to get two so that they would keep each other company during the day. Which seems to work well.
The male, Smithy, appears to be only fitted with the poverty pack - no ABS and definitely no traction control. We have polished floors and he gets pawspin happening when he takes off down the hallway. Reaches terminal velocity before realising all too late that he has to brake for the closed door at the end. 4 paw lock ups and head ons into the door are quite common.
The female, Jayne, just stands by and gives him a look which is the equivalent of
I will look into when the next Lure day is and get back to you.
I used to go down to Gardiners Creek for the whippet meet but Jayne tends to wander a bit and it was a bit of a drive so I haven't been for ages.
P.S. A thread hijack in the true BV Forum style
