Little 10 minute warm up and then gathered at the start and climed the 1/20. It wasn't as steep as expected. Took a few minutes to get into a tempo and it started to burn after a few minutes. Good respite halfway through the climb where the ascent petered off and I was able to reach 29/30kmh for a few minutes. Definitely helped the time. Finished it in 17:30. Pretty happy with that time. Aiming to get it down below 15 but that will take a while
Nice coffee at the Black Kettle afterwards. Ian's Lemon tart with cream looked sensational but I couldnt justify that for myself. Nice to meet the other folks and look forward to doing it again soon.
This alpine classic is going to be great.

No fantastic times to report. Got niggly cramp on the way up but finished. Enjoyed the coffee at the end. Especially enjoyed the descent and sun, sun, sun.
Work up this morning feeling as sick as a dog. After talking with CLR about bugs in the work place, I have decided that the table must have been fake wood. S#^t, my training plan was going so well. Have urgent appointment with a bucket. You have all been forewarned.
