We had coldish start at 8am but minimal winds during the day and a blue sky after midday made it ideal winter conditions. 42 riders started with a very good showing from the middle distance club. 3 riders took the lead after Olivers Hill and averaged 30km over 150. Very respectable. Myself, Ros and 4 others averaged 29.1 with 5hr 3min ride time not including 1 hour for food and brevet stop to refuel. I good ride was had by all. Ride organisers Keith and Erryld a fantastic job with homemade soup, rolls etc and yummy spiced apple, custard and muesli to fuel after the ride .
Gozzo, I waved to you as we went past.
Anyone tempted to try an Audax ride then these 100-150 rides are a great way to test the water
