Just walked up it, but imagining the whole way how much pain it would be to ride it.
But had Heather salivating behind me the whole way down as she imagined how good it would be on the decent.
The 2km descent off Mt William summit to the car park sucks. Too steep and rough - keeping on the brakes means VERY hot rims and fading brake pads. Coming down Baw Baw is much the same but a little more open, so hitting 85km/h+ is possible without pedaling.
It would be extra specially sucky in the wet, trying to keep the speed down.
It was extra sucky in the heat, trying to keep upright whilst licking the road for any moisture you could find, legs still hammered from racing up the damn thing 20 minutes beforehand, desperately trying to avoid the race watchers walking up the hill and other competitors still completing the climb.
