If you have enjoyed the MTB course, please let MBTC know. There is the thought of dropping the MTB option as it does take up a disproportionate amount of volunteer resources on the day and leading up to the event.
One of the few, if not only, organised non-competitive MTB ride in Victoria.
There are far more MTBs sitting in peoples garages & sheds throughout Victoria than roadbikes , & sure most of their owners would never consider entering a race, but that is a massive potential market right there.
MTBing always seems the be the poor cousin in the whole bicycling thing. I always imagined that closing roads &/or utilising infrastructure that is frequently or heavily used like main roads, would be a far more difficult task than nailing as few signs up on gum trees & raking some undergrowth, with the odd chainsawing of a fallen branch.
