Another shocker of a Sunday weather-wise last weekend and after arriving at the start soaked and shivering, I didnt really see much fun in spending 3 hours like that. I suggested that we pull the pin on the ride to the small few that did turn up and all agreed. So this week we will do the ride I "was" going to do last week.
THIS SUNDAY'S RIDE - 20th May 2012 - Intermediate Ride
This weeks ride will be a little longer and faster than the usual beginners rides but still very doable. It will be mostly flat with a few lumpy bits in the middle before a flat run back to base. If the bunch is riding well on the way back, I'll even show you how to do rolling turns for something different (its fun).
:: Terrain- Mostly flat with a little bit of the upwards stuff in the middle to break it up.
:: Pace- I expect to be riding on the flat in high 20's/low 30's. As it will be dead flat this will be esily achievable. The hills will be a case of riding to your own pace with regroups at the crests of each hill.
:: Distance- Approx 60-70km.
:: Times- Leave Bicycle HQ @ 7am (on the dot - don't be late!); back around 10am-ish.
:: Post ride- Cafe stop post ride. Bring a few $$ for a drink or bite to eat. NO MID RIDE COFFEE STOP! Bring a snack (bannana, etc).
So, do you like... STUFF?
