Hmmmm.... We never left anyone behind yet... Not a problem - turn up, talk to us, someone is sure to ride along with you - if only for the conversation!!
Thanks Kathy, the problem for me is that I'll be riding with my gf. We met at the BBC and she is quite new to this sort of thing (not really comfortable riding in groups and more than a few kms etc) so we would seriously slow things down. She is, however, keen to build up her fitness slowly so we can make the whole black rock distance with you guys in a couple of months time
You may well surprise yourselves. Once you get the technique of cycling down pat covering distance comes quite quickly.
I remember when Suzie first started out on a GT Timberline, Lisanne knows all about that bike, one day she wanted to go for a ride but I was a bit stuffed. OK, she says, I'll go for a 10km pootle.
Time passes...and passes...and I get a call from a very excited Suzie who's at Caren's in Brighton. A while later and she's back having covered 46kms on a GT Timberline and feeling on top of the world.
Cycling's the mutts nuts, I love it
