Hmmm, with the added rain from this morning, which was very heavy in Box Hill, the YY's might be a better option. The YY's tend to dodge the rain (not AK would agree
) and the soil type tends to drain well anyway.
I think it may be too late, but they need to seriously consider installing track
gates and closing off entire sections of the park when not suitable for riding.
Im not much of a greenie, but the damage done to the trail with 1000's of riders
in the wet is devastating. Further I dont think lysto in the wet is suitable for enduros
after witnessing the lystie singletrack being turned into a three meter wide runway.
Eitehr that or get govt funding to install some serious northshore in the worst sections
to get riders off the mud.
