Nice day for a pedal.
Four of us, Barefoot, Sette, Roost & myself made the appointed arrival. The odd bit of drizzle made itself known, but nothing too horrible.
We started off with the (as far as I know) un-named track that links Boulder (which is closed for works), Rockwell Run (which is also closed) and Lactic Acid, and due to the closures meant that Lactic was our way up to the upper carpark. Needless to say there was a bit of walking involved up there. From the top we took the Junction track through to Kurrajong, although Sette took the road for the techie bit, just to look after "Budinette" at least a little bit.
Regrouping, we continued the section into Kurrajong, only to find as we made the final approach that some of the tracks were closed due to recent controlled burns. Which smelt very recent. We mixed in a few firetrail sections, so still got to do most of the loop.
After completing the Kurrajong loop, we returned up Junction, blasted a descent of Cressy's & finished off with a quarry lap. Upon completing that loop, Sette & Roost took their leave, so Barefoot & I decided to do a bit more. If we were coming this far we were making the most of it.
So we did a bit more of the link track along the bottom, then up the fire road to the top carpark. A run of Trav's Diamond took us back down, and fed into a second Quarry lap to finish off.
A good time was had by all.
