Forecast for Sunday
Partly cloudy. Patchy rain later in the day. Winds north to northwesterly averaging 15 to 25 km/h tending northerly up to 50 km/h during the morning.
Yeah, don't know what to suggest! Perhaps I'll just have to do some training rides on my own some other time....
Hey, that would suit me on the ride up right? It'd be like a sail in my wind. Err wind in my sail
And on the way back it'll probably die down, or even reverse heh he!
Except I'd have to leave 2 hrs before to meet up with ya's at the starting point.
Will the ATB event be cancelled if it's too windy, or inclement weather? I don't think so, so windy weather will be good practice too.
Err just checked weatherzone.com.au and apparently Northerly means the wind blows from north to south, so erm, umm, I'd work up a sweat by the time I got to the BBC. Though for Franga it says only 17 km/hr at 9am and 22 km/hr at Albert Park at 9am, and I've ridden to the city in stronger winds than that. Up to 30 km/hr. So I may have to tack my way up, and then wear my wet weather jersey back to front, and open up the zipper on the return
Lessee what it says in Brighton for Sunday. 18 km/hr. Ignore the 3pm wind forecast. If your return ride is as late as 3pm (which I doubt) the maximum forecast for alby park is 27 km/h, so you may not have to deal with anything stronger than 25 km/hr.
